If summer ended now... it would have been good to me.
-My new 1981 Honda Civic for only $400 from my awesome manager Erik. Who recently left. He will be missed. In ok shape but will be awesome when I fix up. Stills runs great though. The sweet thing about it is that I went to the DMV and it only took 20 minutes to register it. Everyone thought the DMV was closed for Ronald Reagan Memorial Day.
-No longer homeless. Thank you Mindy and Quinn.
-Between The Buried And Me. Two nights. Amazing. That band is “aesthetic” . And the drive on the 5 North is beautiful. I borrowed my good friend Quinn’s Jeep and drove up by myself. Mogwai is always a good friend to have.
-Liz... she’s amazing. She's my little "pear". hehe.
-Again, borrowed the Jeep. And drove Chris, who I missed dearly, (Always great to spend a day, week, month, a year, hopefully a lifetime with.) Went up to see Pedro The Lion at the Troubadour. Quite an experience. David Bazan is such an awesome guy. Good songwriter. I look forward to enjoying his music for a long time. Only one complaint I have about that night, I wish Brandt and Ertman could have been there. John Vanderslice was good too.
-Beach. Sunset til’darkness. Carlsbad. I hate that city but love the small part of Carlsbad Village Drive. Amazing food at Jay’s Seafood/Italian Restaurant. And stairs that lead to waves that defeat me everytime. Next time, more people come.
-B&N Discount Days. Got all kinds of good stuff.
-And finally my new Mogwai Poster:

Well there are plenty of other reasons but yeah...

so I got bored...

skin and bones, blood and teeth
well this is esentially
who we are
hair and clothes, the company we keep
well this is regretably
who we are
to others

we're all the same
so show routines
the tall good looking boy
at the bar
won't have to stumble too far
to find someone
a new bird every night
he's still not satisfied

the thin skin
thick skulls
and awkward knees
each one unique by
fractions of an inch
and we're all ashamed of our vanity
as we should be
cuz the devils in the deed

we're all the same
so show
contraints
and emotional cravings
you and me
and him and her

and the prettiest girl at the party
pitys those girls
who aren't so pretty
but dress nice
she'll go home alone by choice
or choose one of the boys
to lay down with
if she's lonely
or horny
or human

Let's celebrate being human...

...take me somewhere nice...

"'Cause this music can put a human being in a trance like state and deprive it for the sneaking feeling of existing.'Cause music is bigger than words and wider than pictures. If someone said that Mogwai are the stars I would not object. If the stars had a sound it would sound like this.The punishment for these solemn words can be hard. Can blood boil like this at the sound of a noisy tape that I've heard. I know one thing. On Saturday, the sky will crumble together (or something) with a huge bang to fit into the cave."

i love mogwai

...it's getting so much easier to say goodbye...

on terrible days, isn't it great to see great friends?

Thank you for the refreshing visit.

Moulin Rouge is such devastatingly beautiful movie. All of these "memories keeping all these tears inside." Life is beautiful and sometimes leaves you forgetting that.

Welcome
to a celebration of
TRUTH, BEAUTY, FREEDOM,
and above all things,
LOVE

The Greatest Thing You Will Ever Learn... is to LOVE... and be loved in return.

thank you Jesus

Miniver Cheevy
Edwin Arlington Robinson (1869-1935)
__________________________________________

Miniver Cheevy, child of scorn,
Grew lean while he assailed the seasons;
He wept that he was ever born,
And he had reasons.

Miniver loved the days of old
When swords were bright and steeds were prancing;
The vision of a warrior bold
Would set him dancing.

Miniver sighed for what was not,
And dreamed, and rested from his labors;
He dreamed of Thebes and Camelot,
And Priam's neighbors.

Miniver mourned the ripe renown
That made so many a name so fragrant;
He mourned Romance, now on the town,
And Art, a vagrant.

Miniver loved the Medici,
Albeit he had never seen one;
He would have sinned incessantly
Could he have been one.

Miniver cursed the commonplace
And eyed a khaki suit with loathing;
He missed the mediaeval grace
Of iron clothing.

Miniver scorned the gold he sought,
But sore annoyed was he without it;
Miniver thought, and thought, and thought,
And thought about it.

Miniver Cheevy, born too late,
Scratched his head and kept on thinking;
Miniver coughed, and called it fate,
And kept on drinking.
